Installing mods for Farming Simulator 22

FS22 still has an active mod community. Rules are similar to FS25 but paths and some scripts differ.
FS22 mod folder
Typical path: Documents → My Games → FarmingSimulator2022 → mods. Steam and Game Pass use separate folders.
FS25-only mods will not run in FS22 — filter by game version in the FS Portal catalog.
Step by step
Download from the author via FS Portal's link. Extract ZIP into mods — one mod folder with modDesc.xml.
Remove old versions of the same mod to avoid load conflicts.
After Giants patches, update key global scripts (e.g. Courseplay) from the author page.
Performance
Large map and vehicle packs stress RAM/GPU — test mods in batches.
If FPS drops sharply, disable heavy texture/light mods or use author "low spec" builds.
