Harlingen, together with Menningen and Bietzen, forms the so-called Bietzerberg communities,
that are closely linked culturally and socially.
In Harlingen you literally live on the sunny side of Merzig,
Because of its special location, Saarland has one of the most sunny days on average throughout the year.
With almost 500 inhabitants, a culturally and historically unique Lady Chapel and a lot of landscape around it,
Harlingen is a magnificent example of rural idyll.
The Harlingen is a replica of the small village of Harlingen in Saarland.
