In the heart of the Morvan, in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, The Mechet invites you to discover authentic farming in a landscape shaped by time and the work of generations. Here, the land is alive! The fields are not vast open expanses, but plots bordered by hedgerows, rows of trees, stone walls and traditional fences. Rivers and streams naturally shape the terrain and structure the landscape. Each plot has its own character, and every path leads to a new opportunity. You will find: • 2 faithfully modelled villages, with an imposing church, a market square, a school, a post office, a castle and many shops. • A rich hydrographic network made up of numerous streams, rivers, lakes, ponds, as well as a working mill. • New grass foliage specially developed for this map. • Extensive work on the colours of trees and vegetation to deliver realistic and immersive seasons. • Farm tracks created from 3D scans for maximum realism. • 4 farmsteads with varied atmospheres: sheep, cattle, viticulture and snail farming, including 4 barns, an animated milking parlour and a Stepa grab for the sheepfold. • 136 fields and 179 purchasable plots. • 3 agricultural cooperatives (two for cereals and one for root crops), also serving as purchase points for materials such as lime and fertiliser. • A sawmill featuring 4 types of production: wood, firewood, planks and timber frames. • A cannery where you can sell your vegetables or produce authentic recipes. • Many small shops, such as a bakery, a dairy and a market, to add value to your farm products. • New productions, including snails and their recipes, as well as local cow’s and sheep’s cheeses. • Expanded farming systems, such as a 3-step grape juice production chain. • New crops: silage maize, rye, vetch-rye, green rye, triticale, spelt, cover crop, field grass, alfalfa, clover, spring and winter wheat, spring and winter barley. • Exclusive mechanics, with the arrival of compost and a dedicated shredder for processing it at the BGA. • Advanced realism, with wind-animated power lines, overflowing gutters in the rain, waterlogged field entrances, Christmas decorations in the village, straw trails, leaves on the ground, and much more. • New growth stages for many crops, offering smoother visual transitions. • 4 new cattle breeds: Charolais, Simmental, Vosgienne and Montbéliarde. Each has its own characteristics to refresh the gameplay. It is up to you to choose the one that best fits your farm. • The possibility to use the GAB (Groupement Agricole du Bocage), a kind of machinery-sharing cooperative allowing you to share your vehicles. • A municipal water tower and retention basins. • A railway export warehouse for your goods. • A brand-new locomotive, specially modelled for The Mechet. • The Bricodin, a DIY and gardening store where you can sell or buy essential products. • A shop to build, allowing you to sell your farm products at a better price. • A brand-new John Deere dealership. • A large BGA with several silos and a composting area equipped with covered silos. • A secret quest, as usual! Finally, a custom help menu will allow you to understand all the map’s new features. Gallery Description FS25 The Pomarede Welcome to La Pomarède. This fictional map was created inspired by the French countryside. The map’s environment and atmosphere were designed to provide a peaceful and pleasant experience, with its small village, fields of varying shapes and sizes, and rolling hills perfect for relaxing while farming. The map is gently hilly and features three farms at your disposal (sheep, pigs, chickens, and cows), one of which you can own in easy mode, all within a pleasant setting. You will also have everything you need to start your career (car dealership, service station, livestock trader, lime stations) and above all quite a few factories and points of sale at your disposal as well as a nice BGA available for purchase. The map background is free (indicated on the minimap), giving you access to all areas of the map and certain productions for maximum freedom. (Consider buying it in normal and hard mode). 25 Collectibles are to be found in order to collect a nice little profit. Key data: – 60 fields from 1.4 ha to 10 ha, 8 of which are grass. – A functional farm with buildings, starting equipment, animals, and 3 fields is available to begin your game. – Various points of sale and production are available on the map which I will let you discover. – Purchasing the free background map gives you access to all common areas of the map for complete freedom Creation. – You will need to download 7 additional mods for the map to function properly. – Collectibles to collect. – Traffic and NPCs installed. Recommended Settings To get the most out of your system, I recommend adjusting your in game settings based on your hardware: High-End Systems: Setting Foliage, Object, and LOD Distance to 200% will render assets across the entire map for maximum visual fidelity. Mid-to-Low End Systems: For a significant FPS boost, I recommend lowering these settings to 100%–150%. This reduces the rendering load without sacrificing the core gameplay experience. This fictional 4x map (my first ever built) offers enough scope for anyone who appreciates North German charm to express themselves. Gallery Description FS25 Gigerwald Gigerwald – Life Below the Dam Welcome to idyllic Gigerwald in Switzerland – nestled below the imposing dam of Lake Gigerwald, surrounded by a breathtaking yet challenging Alpine landscape. This farm combines traditional agriculture with modern technology and demands your full attention. At its heart is an old farmstead with a traditional inn, inviting you to linger and preserving the charm of bygone days. Just a few meters away, a modern cowshed with state-of-the-art round bale drying equipment was recently put into operation – a symbol of change and progress in the valley. Farming focuses entirely on grassland: organic fertilization, mowing, windrowing, and round bale harvesting are central to your daily routine. Arable farming plays no role in this Alpine region – instead, efficient work on steep meadows is key. The map offers opportunities for production and processing: On-site dairy Round bale drying Quarry Small and large cement plants Sawmill Water can be drawn directly from the surrounding streams, but it’s easier to get it from the hydrant in front of the Gigerwald mountain inn. The terrain requires special attention: Scree and small rocks, especially in the fields, can be crushed into usable stones with the jackhammer and processed in the cement plant. The extremely steep terrain presents a real challenge – both for you and your machinery. Precision, planning, and the right equipment are key to success. Are you ready to take on this alpine challenge? Note: The roads have a special collision warning because the extreme gradient would make them very bumpy – avoid terraforming on the main roads.
